Lillye...
From my impromptu Senior Session... For those that don't know, her mom (one of my best friends) surprised me by showing up at my doorstep with her beautiful daughter, Lillye, wearing this gorgeous outfit and with old family books... She'd just finished her "official" portraits with the photography group that is contracted by the school and she was hoping for some artistic shots.

Color My World..
I am very fortunate to be in a group of photographers participating in a 26 week project. This week's theme was "Color My World". Once you've had the opportunity to see my interpretation of this theme, please click the link below and see how the rest of the group approached this challenge. Thank you for taking the time :)
I had the opportunity to photograph my beautiful niece, wearing my grandmother's dress and gloves from the 1950s, back in my hometown. It was a very moving and beautiful experience for me. My family, my heritage, my world here in LA and back in Nebraska definitely colors my world...
Next up, the exceptionally beautiful and talented Kara May...

Celebrate...
Here is my latest installment for the 26 week project I am doing with a group of very talented photographers. The challenge was supposed to involve a picnic, but with scorching heat and extremely high humidity here in Nebraska (I'm on vacation) it wasn't really in the cards to picnic...
After you see my picture, be sure to continue clicking through the different photographers links so you can see the complete circle. Be sure to come back in 2 weeks to see our next theme, you don’t want to miss it!

Self Portrait
This week's assignment in my 26 week group was "Just Me", aka self portraits. I often enjoy doing self portraits but I've not been "feeling it" this week. To combat my lack of concept, I decided to work on a technique, the Cinemagraph. Frankly, it needs some kinks worked out, but I'm getting faster and enjoying playing...
To see how others in the group dealt with this challenge, please continue on with Aubry Wood Startin.

I don't want to forget...
My oldest is growing up so fast. Everyone says it over and over again when they are babies and you roll your eyes and say, "Oh, yes..." and then POOF, they are almost 10 and don't want to hold your hand in public and you wonder where all the time went... Well, at 9 and 3/4 as he likes to say, my boy loves origami. He's been making little animals for about two years now and aside from Legos, it is the only quiet activity he engages in. Often with the intent of selling his creations back to me. All the birds you see in this shot were given to me with a "suggested donation". He is trying to quickly amass cash before we go to Nebraska for the 4th of July. He has his eye on buying many, many fireworks...

Please continue on with the circle of amazing photographers, next up is Gina Weathersby....
